ORIGIN OF THE GRAPES: VINEYARD OF THE FREY-SOHLER FAMILY

• Still red wine

GRAPPE VARIETY: Pinot Noir 100 %

VINTAGE: 2015

SOIL:

• Composed of sands & granite. This unusual « terroir », warm and filtrating gives to the hills of Scherwiller the most adapted area for growing Riesling wines in this part of Alsace. This vineyard is next the Ortenburg biotope, with a particularly mild microclimate.

VINIFICATION:

• Traditional methods are used for elaborating this Pinot Noir.

• The wines are aerated three times, and fermentations are led by themselves, as in the beginning as they start over. We use also temperature control.

DESCRIPTION: Alc. vol : 13 % Residual sugar : 0.5 g/ litre

TASTING:

• Visual: an elegant purple “robe”,

• Nose, cherry, complex

• Mouth: matured in oak barriques, beautifull structure

IMPROVEMENT: can be kept five to eight years

CULINAR ADVICES: cheese and meet, barbecue.
